How We Started

At The Martin Foundation, we believe in two things: the power of community and the undeniable brilliance of a well-placed 9-iron. Founded by Mintrel Martin, a man whose passion for philanthropy is only rivaled by his questionable love of tartan golf pants, our foundation was born at the intersection of generosity and the green. What began as a simple idea—”Why not raise money while trying not to slice a drive into the trees?”—has since evolved into a full-fledged charitable initiative supporting underserved communities through the noble game of golf.

Every event we host isn’t just a round of 18 with the occasional mulligan—it’s an opportunity to drive real impact (pun fully intended). From raising scholarship funds for promising students to supporting veteran recovery programs, we use each swing, putt, and poorly calculated sand trap shot to give back in meaningful ways. And sure, we might have a leaderboard, but around here, the real winners are those who show up, give generously, and still remember to replace their divots.

So whether you’re a seasoned golfer, a first-time participant, or just here for the post-tournament cocktails and charitable write-offs, welcome. You’re in good company.
